Is there any way I can lose weight fast without exercise? The last six months had been really busy. I could not keep up with my exercise routine. Though I tried to give it some time, it could not be more than an hour a week, which didn’t get me anywhere. But I cannot take it any longer. I need to shed these extra pounds I have gained in this time, at least. Any guidance?

I had been through the same, so I know how it feels at times like these. But I am blessed to have a fitness-freak friend who is always trying these fitness tips and tricks. I am sharing some of the tips she gave that actually worked for me.

Eat slowly – take your time to chew and let your brain process your activity. Here is the main benefit: when you eat slowly, it makes you feel full in less food, and hence you eat less.

Cut down unhealthy food – when not exercising, diet is the best way to maintain your weight. So cut down on the junk and eat more healthy.

Drink water – you’d know it already but let me remind you this – drink a lot of water, especially before a meal.

Eat a lot of protein and fiber; the combo is great for weight loss. Taking more protein will make you feel fuller, and you will consume fewer calories. Fiber does the same. It eases your digestion process but keeps the food longer in your stomach by increasing the time taken by the nutrients to absorb in your body.

Take a good sleep, keep the junk food out of your sight, and eat with your eyes on your plate – keep the electronics away. Simple!
